Many women in Venezuela suffer forms of violence every day from which they find no protection. They face arbitrary detentions, or torture and mistreatment in prison, as well as the lack of guarantees to enjoy sexual and reproductive rights. The impact of the humanitarian emergency on women has been reported by several organizations, which show the different way in which the lives of women are affected. With all this, the legal recognition of a life free from violence is not enough to eradicate it.
