Environmental degradation

Groups that defend the rights of indigenous peoples and a healthy environment have warned about the loss of the Venezuelan Amazon - where most of the country's forests are located -and it has worsened in recent years. The damage and environmental degradation in the territory covered by the Orinoco Mining Arc has also been denounced by various organizations.
